Mark 5:21-24, 35-43 And when Jesus was passed over again by ship unto the other side, much
people gathered unto him: and he was nigh unto the sea. And, behold, there cometh one of the rulers of the synagogue, Jairus by name; and when he saw him, he fell at his feet, And besought him greatly, saying, My little daughter lieth at the point of death: I pray thee, come and lay thy hands on her, that she may be healed; and she shall live. And Jesus went with him; and much people followed him, and thronged him….While he yet spake, there came from the ruler of the synagogue's house certain which said, Thy daughter is dead: why troublest thou the Master any further. As soon as Jesus heard the word that was spoken, he saith unto the ruler of the synagogue, Be not afraid, only believe. And he suffered no man to follow him, save Peter, and James, and John the brother of James. And he cometh to the house of the ruler of the synagogue, and seeth the tumult, and them that wept and wailed greatly. And when he was come in, he saith unto them, Why makeye this ado, and weep? the damsel is not dead, but sleepeth. And they laughed him to scorn. But when he had put them all out, he taketh the father and the mother of the damsel, and them that were with him, and entereth in where the damsel was lying. And he took the damsel by the hand, and said unto her,Talitha cumi; which is, being interpreted, Damsel, I say unto thee, arise. And straightway the damsel arose, and walked; for she was of the age of twelve years. And they were astonished with a great astonishment. And he charged them straitly that no man should know it; and commanded that something should be given her to eat.
Never mind what your religious peers may say....It ain’t over til God says, “it’s over”.
Through everything we must trust Jesus! I believe most of us give up on our miracle way to soon. He truly is still the Miracle-Worker, and we must never doubt that. Nothing, absolutely NOTHING, is impossible for Him. What looks to be like a ‘done deal’, GOD can resurrect. God doesn’t need a “recovery room” either. He can perform the impossible and make it appear like their was nothing ever amiss. Jairus’ daughter appeared to have just awoken from a nap..she got up from her bed and had a little snack that was especially ordered for her by God Himself. MIRACULOUS!!
I have an example for you:
A miracle happened for somone several years ago now that was very close to me. I was dating him at the time (eventually married). An accident happened. His ankle was broken, all black and blue, and twisted in a very precarious position. Some guys who were with him helped him get to the house of prayer, his pastor prayed for him. His ankle righted into position, the bruising began to disappear, the flesh turned pink again, and he was able to walk out of there, praising God! And, ya know what, God never sent him a bill. He’s the Master of the miraculous…all He really desires out of us is our love and faithfulness.
Circumstance and Situation may change...oftentimes they do change...but God is the same. And in moments when we in dire need, when we are weak, when we are down, God brings back to our memory miracles of the past. He reminds us that He has NOT changed.
What’s more…only those that fully trust and believe GOD to do the miraculous get to have a ‘front row seat’ to the miracles that He performs. They don’t get the ‘seat’ because they come looking for a show…they aren’t spectators…but they are participators. They pray and believe in earnest for the need of someone else (or even their own need), not because they think they’ll earn‘bragging rights’, but because they truly care…and they truly believe. I happen to believe that’s why in this verse of scripture, God charged very commandingly those in the room with Jairus’daughter to “tell no man about the miracle that was performed”. In other words, if you don’t believe it and ain't willing to pray a miracle into existence, then you don’t even get to hear about it!
There needs to be a resurrection of BELIEF!!! God never changed. He never will change.
But, has our TRUST system…our BELIEF system…our FAITH system in HIM, changed?
Oh, I pray not!!!
Always remember: It ain’t over ‘til God says, “IT’S OVER”.
