Acts 5:30-32 The God of our fathers raised up Jesus, whom ye slew and hanged on a tree. Him hath God exalted with his right hand to be a Prince and a Saviour, for to give repentance to Israel, and forgiveness of sins. And we are his witnesses of these things; and so is also the Holy Ghost, whom God hath given to them that obey him
God bore our sins and gave Himself as our sacrifice on the tree so that we might die to sins and live for righteousness. By HIS wounds YOU have been HEALED! (I Peter 2:24)
He is the resurrection and the life. So thankful I’m His child! I pray all of you have a blessed day today. And, remember, there is HOPE in JESUS!

You May be Sick, but You Can Still Possess a Warrior Heart
II Kings 7:3 Now there were four leprous men at the entrance of the gate; and they said to one another, “Why are we sitting here until we die?
Reading the 7th chapter of the book of II Kings. Intriguing. I encourage you to read it. It’s a story of hope and providence. It’s a story of fulfilled prophecy. To those that choose to sit at the gate and not pursue, it serves as a warning.
It was God ordained, the lepers came as soon as the Syrians were fled. It is often that the conscience of humanity will fear failure. But these lepers prevailed through that fear. Courage is not the absence of fear, but it's the willingness to press on inspite of the fear. They went into the enemy camp and pursued. They went into the camp and came out with what they were looking for. And, what’s more, they did not take care of themselves only, but they reported the good tidings to others also.
Natural humanity and fear of punishment are powerful checks on the selfishness of the ungodly. We, who have found the unsearchable riches of God, should not long delay to report the good tidings of what we have found in Jesus. We should go tell someone about Him! Him, the One who is able to do exceeding and abundant things.
Good tidings! Out of love to Him, and not self or selfish motives, those in Christ will gladly share with others of their talents, their callings, etc. God did not give you a gift for you to sit on it and take it into yourself, but He gave it so it could be shared, so it could be multiplied.
Let your light so shine….This can also be done through our daily living. Living out in our daily lives how to be a child of the King amongst our peers, family, etc. by our walk and our talk. This is good.
At a moment’s notice God can make the strong to tremble. For those who do not/will not fear God, he can make them fear at the slightest thing possible. God works in mysterious/wonderous ways! It’s not our job to ‘figure it out’, but it’s our job to ‘walk in faith’. He provides always in the nick-of-time. He never fails. He is faithful. To the sick. To the well. To the lost. To the saved. To the weary. He changes not, neither is He weary. He is our strong arm. Our defense. Through Him we are more than conquorers. It doesn’t matter what it looks like or what it feels like, choose to see through the vision of faith. Our faith should be greater than the human eye. Great things happen when we choose to pursue through the vision of faith…when we trust our life to God’s hands.
At the Alamo, Travis drew a line in the sand. Those that were tired of the enemy’s tactics crossed the line, letting the others know that they were ready for battle. They crossed the line, not because of their bravery altogether, but because they were not willing to just sit there to die and be conquored. They had a vision for Texas and they were willing to fight for it. If they were going to die and be conquored, they weren’t going to do it without a fight. They refused to willingly become a waste. They chose to fight. We should do the same. In the spiritual world...in the church...it works much the same.
The 'dead-heads' are soon forgotten, but it’s the ‘warriors’ that are fondly remembered. No matter what, Pursue! Get in the race, run on...lest you get trampled upon by the devil...and die. You can do all things through Christ!

The Human's Manual
Psalm 19:7-11 The law of the Lord is perfect, converting the soul: the testimony of the Lord is sure, making wise the simple. The statutes of the Lord are right, rejoicing the heart: the commandment of the Lord is pure, enlightening the eyes. The fear of the Lord is clean, enduring for ever: the judgments of the Lord are true and righteous altogether. More to be desired are they than gold, yea, than much fine gold: sweeter also than honey and the honeycomb. Moreover by them is thy servant warned: and in keeping of them there is great reward.
God’s instructions are complete, they lack nothing. His instructions restore life and conscience to the soul of mankind. His orders are trustworthy and they make the unlearned to gain understanding. God’s divine rules are correct, void of error, and they bring joy to the heart and are fair. They do not try to achieve an unjust advantage. They are legit. God’s divine rule is clear and insightful. His rules give us the capacity to gain an accurate and deep intuitive understanding of our self and situations while living out this life. Having deep respect for the Lord is pure, lasting forever. God’s laws are more desirable than any finery we could ever possess, and they bring a sweetness to our life that is sweeter than pure honey. God's laws serve to warn His servants and great reward comes to those servants who obey them.
Everything else seems to have an Instructor’s manual, and God’s WORD, the Bible, is the manual for every human.
God’s WORD will let you know how to live out your best life. I’m so glad I have it.
Hope all of you had a great Memorial Day weekend. Freedom is not free, folks! A HUGE THANKS goes out to all the military who sacrificed their life for our freedoms. I truly appreciate their sacrifice so much!! To their families I say, “Thank you”, also. Thank God for America!...Land that I love.

Finding Treasure In the Garbage of Life
Proverbs 16:21-23 He that handleth a matter wisely shall find good: and whoso trusteth in the Lord, happy is he. The wise in heart shall be called prudent: and the sweetness of the lips increaseth learning. Understanding is a wellspring of life unto him that hath it: but the instruction of fools is folly. The heart of the wise teacheth his mouth, and addeth learning to his lips.
Have you ever accidently thrown something of value away only to have to dig through filthy rubble to get it back again?
Life can be like that. We sometimes have to stumble through or dig through the rubble of garbage that accumulates around us in order that we find the character that God is trying to build in us. It’s called LIFE. And, well, sometimes things in life can really stink. That’s why it is so awesome to have the LORD at our side.
I like these points:
· He that handles a matter wisely shall find good. Gracious words add to one’s reputation. Simple mathmatics. Not a minus, but a plus. YES! It’s a positive thing!
· Whoever trusts in the Lord is happy. Their confidence is in Him, not themselves.
· The wise in heart are considered careful, discreet. Their actions show thought and care for the future. Discretion is life-giving, and this is so crucial when dealing with “the next generation”.
· Considerate words increase learning. Pleasant words are persuasive
· The prudent, the considerate, the thoughtful, the caring, the discreet people--what a refreshment. When somebody uses true intelligence, to the listener, it is truly refreshing. It’s like standing in a sprinkler on a gruesomely hot day.
· Giving instruction to silly, unwilling-to-learn individuals is a waste of your time. Don’t bother.
· From a wise mind comes wise speech. Hey, wise people make a lot of good sense.
The person that handles a matter wisely shall find good. Sometimes it's hard to find nuggets of treasure as your wading through a slime pit. But there is no impossibilities with God! I’m taking refuge in this statement…this little verse of promise. It's like a nugget in my pocket. It gives me hope! It restores my mind. It re-charges me. It fills me with energy. And, I especially need it…well, for LONG while to come.
Without holding on to God and putting my trust in Him it is rather impossible to handle some matters of life in a wise manner. Actually I’m finding that to get the latter accomplished I must first possess the former. I’m finding that it is definitely not through my own strength and intellect that I can live, talk, walk graciously before some individuals and through some circumstances. It is only through the power of God. ONLY through Him!
Psalm 34:8 Taste and see that the LORD is good; blessed is the man who takes refuge in him.
Even well-meaning people can give you garbage to eat, ya know. Rather than taking in a huge mouth-ful of the bitter happenings in life though, I need to put a whole heapingspoonful shovel-ful of GOD in my mouth. Taste and see that the LORD is good! All that other stuff makes me want to vomit. I’m more blessed when I hope in HIM…when I take refuge in HIS unfailing love.
Psalm 32:10 says, the Lord’s unfailing love surrounds those who trusts in him.
I’m trusting, Lord. I’m clinging to Your unchanging hand. Human love fails, but God-love is lasting. Help me to put on God-love. And…umm, Lord, I need a little favor here. As we’re walking together along this journey, help me to remember that though the winding road be a little un-nerving I can still be happy…I can be happy and walk gracefully because I’m holding to You…and, Lord, uh,....when the insensitive, hurtful people surround my pathway...help me to remember that Your love surrounds me too...and, when I don’t want to say gracius things back to them…could You pleazzzzzzze use your other hand to cover my mouth!...(or maybe you could give me a spoonful of sugar, or something....so if I do open my mouth I'm blowing 'sweet-nothings' back to them). Thanks, God. Much obliged. You...are...awesome!
:-)

A Proven Love
Psalm 46:1-3 God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore will not we fear, though the earth be removed, and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea; Though the waters thereof roar and be troubled, though the mountains shake with the swelling thereof. Selah.
Psalm 81:1, 6-7 Sing aloud unto God our strength: make a joyful noise unto the God of Jacob….I removed his shoulder from the burden: his hands were delivered from the pots. Thou calledst in trouble, and I delivered thee; I answered thee in the secret place of thunder: I proved thee at the waters of Meribah. Selah.
Prove: Demonstrate the truth or existence of (something) by evidence or argument
I proved thee at the waters of Meribah….
Through research I found that the name Massah, meaning testing, and the name Meribah, means quarreling.
In Exodus we can read about the account of the Israelites thirst and how they grumbled against Moses, so Moses in fear for his life, appeals to God and God tells Moses to walk ahead of the others, and strike the rock at Horeb with his rod. When Moses does this, it causes the rock to expel water.
God is our refuge and strength. He is a very present help. In times of our testing He does not run away. God has proven Himself to His children…over…and over…and over again. Even in times when we are at war within our self...quarreling, grumbling, complaining...about what concerns us, God is ever present. And, for me, this quote sums it all up….

Take Heart & Carry On
Romans 8:26-28 Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God. And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.
Another version of scripture says it like this: and we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose
You may not know just what to pray. You may not understand the happenings around you to even be able to string the sentences together in an audible, intelligent prayer; but, you can still give it to the Master. Give it all—the whole sum total of it—to Jesus. Things may seem a bit off. The path you’re on may seem windy with danger-filled curves and feel so breath-takingly uphill. It’s okay. Carry on...keep walking. Jesus walks the path with you. You may not see Him. You may not feel Him. But HE is there.
People may be unfair. Heartache and Trials may be happening. Life is like that. But,through it all TRUST JESUS. He never fails.
What the devil means for our harm, Jesus can turn it all around and work it for our good. So don’t be so disheartened by what others say and do. Don’t ya dare listen to the nay-sayers, the backbiters, the condemners. They are human just like you, and just like you, they too have a Judge to face. On that great getting-up-morning they will stand in line just as you will, for all people—every single one of us---shall not live out eternity without first bowing a knee before God to give an account of the deeds we have done (the good, the bad,and the ugly). Take heart in that!
Give it all to Jesus. Your shattered dreams. Your broken heart. Your wounded soul. He will turn your sorrow into joy. When you can’t seem to trust His hand, you can trust His heart. He wants only the best for you. Hold on, just hold on! In your darkest night walk on in faith, not by what you see. God will make a way for you. He never promised you that life would not be heavy. He never promised the way would not get hard. But, what He did promise is that He would be your help and come to your rescue just in the nick of time, so remember...cast your cares on Him and ask for His help. Keep breathing. Keep hope alive. You can do hard things!
We can trust Him. He knows the way we take.
Hold onto Jesus. With every fiber of your being...hold on to Jesus...and allow Him to work it all for your good. If you do then you will find you have given yourself a privilege, for it’s only then that you will allow yourself the opportunity to come forth as pure gold! You’ll be the real deal, my friend. :-)
So hold on! He has great hopes and plans for you. Keep the dream alive and watch how God unfolds it all.
“Somewhere on the great world the sun is always shining, and just so sure as you live, it will sometime shine on you. The dear God made it so. There is so much sunshine we must all have our share”
-Myrtle Reed
Psalm 145:18 KJV) He will fulfil the desire of them that fear him: he also will hear their cry, and will save them.
Galatians 6:9 KJV) And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.
Psalm 20:4 ESV) May he grant you your heart’s desire and fulfill all your plans!
In whatever you are facing right now at this very moment, allow God to work it all for your good. (It's the only best way to 'think positive'.) :-) :-) Allow God to work...and in the meantime...it's my suggestion...that you go outside and lift your face to the warmth of the sun. Life can simply get too cold. So, do yourself a favor, allow the sun beams to dance across your tears.

I Shall Not Want
Psalm 107:9 For he satisfieth the longing soul, and filleth the hungry soul with goodness.
He fills the hungry soul with goodness. Jesus supplies all needs according to HIS will. We must seek all our blessing from Him, the One who has the power to make all things concerning His will for us to come to fruition. We can cast our cares upon Him. He truly cares. We have access of friendship with Him, and He longs to have sweet fellowship with us.
Why do we go seeking after things that only temporarily satisfy? Why must we faint from the troubles, trials, fears, distresses, and temptations which surround us? We have Jesus.
Psalm 34:10 The young lions do lack, and suffer hunger: but they that seek the Lord shall not want any good thing.
Lord, I long to trust and believe. I desire to cast all my worries, heartaches, fears, and dreams on You. Help me to rest in Your care for what concerneth me, and help me to be the person You’d desire for me to be. Thank you for this day. I want to rejoice in today for I know that in living today, I have lived yet another tomorrow. In and through it all You are worthy of praise!
Psalm 107:1 Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good; his love endures forever
Those who seek after and trust in the Lord will lack no good thing. Only Jesus can satisfy your soul. Only He can take your heart and make you whole. Only Jesus can give you peace like you have never known before. Only Jesus can give you sweet love and joy that surpasses anything you could ever experience down here. And, only Jesus can give you Heaven too!

A Killer-Emotion
Proverbs 14:30 A sound heart is the life of the flesh: but envy the rottenness of the bones
If the heart, which is the seat-bed of our emotions, be diseased then life can not continue in a healthy equilibrium.
A Seed of Bitterness is planted.
Emotions get off-kelter.
Things tend to spin out of control.
Relationships can cease.
Chaos happens.
A relaxed attitude lengthens a man's life, but jealousy rots it away.
------ Instead of feeding a jealous appetite, feed the appetite of blessing. Be thankful for all God blesses you with. No, you may not be able to do or have those things that you admire in someone else, but instead of writhing in the emotion of jealousy, feeling lousy, wishing secretly that you could do/have the same...perfect that which you can do and that which you can have. Be at peace with who you are. Feeling envious of what others have only causes you stress.
God perfectly designed you for you (and, most importantly, for Himself). Don't try to be like someone else. Trying to be like someone else is as if you're telling God He didn't do a good job. His ways are perfect. You are His handy-work and He called you 'good', so appreciate the product. His handprints are all over you.
You may not be able to perform the same skills, possess the same abilities as someone else, but that is completly okay. It is good. It's good because God designed you 'with another purpose in mind'.
Each have their own talents. God designed it that way. He loves diverseness. He loves mixing it up. If He had made us all the same, what a boring world this would be! Appreciate the talents you were dealt. Be thankful for the talents you have, perfect those. Be thankful. Be at peace. Rest in God. Seek Hope. And live.
Live life to the fullest measure that Christ would have......for you. Not someone else.

Overcoming In Spite of Limitations, All For the Glory of GOD
Isaiah 43:21 This people have I formed for myself; they shall shew forth my praise.
Have you ever seen the beauty of a blind man playing a piano? How 'bout someone with physical limitations who excel in spite of their handicap(s)? Do you know someone who has went through trial after trial after trial and still exemplifies a beautiful, triumphant spirit? Or, a person that never “blames GOD” or goes around with a sorry attitude because of the “injustice” conditions in their life?
I have. The moments they’ve touched my life and the seeing of their miraculous abilities make me think of the POWER & AWESOMENESS of God’s workings in their life. There is nothing so beautiful as to witness someone’s overcoming-abilities in spite of limitations.
If we could see the handicapped (be it physical or mental) like Jesus does, then we’d be a people that are blessed for the knowing of them.
Anyway….I hope I’m not doing this scripture injustice, but when I read these words this morning I thought of these things. Hope it allows some thought and consideration in you also, and that you come away from this post giving praise to God. He makes all things possible. Never give up!....He’s not giving up on you.
Have a blessed weekend

Conquering By Faith~
Galatians 2:20 I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me.
The life which I now live in the flesh, I live by faith….We can have confidence in Jesus, our Redeemer. He ever liveth and He reigns eternal. For strength, we look to Him. For promises, we trust in Him. For grace, we reach toward Him. This is how we possess our confidence. Everything we ever need we find it in Jesus.
Romans 8:35, 37 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or danger, or sword? No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us.
No higher sense of obligation should be felt than that which is felt toward our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. To live entirely to the Redeemer who loved by the giving of His own blood should be our highest calling. Paul felt that he was bound to live entirely for His Redeemer, and we should too. Nothing, but our self, can separate us from God. So, as long as we hold to HIS unchanging hand, we shall be made more than conquerors.
I like this part: More than Conquerors And, this part: I live by faith
You are not merely someone who defeats, secures, or overcomes! But, you have a greater advantage than that! For with God you have an additional degree of force. With God you can subdue, defeat, gain, secure, overcome, surmount anything.
God gave Himself so that we could have the power to overcome. We live in faith---we believe that we can overcome---because it’s by the Son of God who loved us and gave Himself for us.
MORE: A greater or additional amount or degree CONQUEROR: Someone who defeats or subdues by force, especially by force of arms; Someone who gains or secures control of by or as if by force of arms; Someone who overcomes or surmounts by physical, mental, or moral force.

He's Still Working On Me ~
Isaiah 63:9 In all their affliction he was afflicted, and the angel of his presence saved them: in his love and in his pity he redeemed them; and he bare them, and carried them all the days of old.
Deuteronomy 32:10 In a desert land he found him, in a barren and howling waste. He shielded him and cared for him; he guarded him as the apple of his eye
God sympathizes with us in every one of our trials. He always stands ready to help us. There is a place in God that we can attain unto. This place is our ‘Comfort Place’. This place allows that we can get so alone with Him that we feel relief even in the fury of it all. He comforts and He supports us so much so that we do not feel the brutal force of the burden. The situation, the burden, the trial, perhaps doesn’t move…but GOD…He is present with us. The storm may not move and disappear, but God moves us...and we are able to stand. In all our straits we have no distress…because of HIM.
Exodus 33:14 The LORD replied,"My Presence will go with you, and I will give you rest."
He is ever mindful of His children—their sufferings, their triumphs—He knows it all. He feels deeply when we are afflicted and when His children cry out to Him (or, perhaps, can only whisper His name) He hastens to their aid. God is not a cold, distant, abstract being. He takes great interest in human affairs. And that’s not all….somehow HE works it all out for our betterment.
He works all things for our betterment….He allows things to come our way for our learning, our spiritual growth, our growth intellecually, well, our overall maturity. In the natural we change physically, so it must be also in everything else. It’s a WHOLE process kinda thing. What an all-knowing, all-wise GOD!!!
Deuteronomy 7:7-8 The LORD did not set his affection on you and choose you because you were more numerous than other peoples, for you were the fewest of all peoples. But it was because the LORD loved you and kept the oath he swore to your forefathers that he brought you out with a mighty hand and redeemed you from the land of slavery, from the power of Pharaoh king of Egypt.
“It’s All Good”…cause God is working it…He’s a’working it for my good. :-)
Through it all—whatever the day brings---have a great day in Jesus today!

Resting with my Eyes Wide Open
Psalm 139:17-18 How precious also are thy thoughts unto me, O God! how great is the sum of them! If I should count them, they are more in number than the sand: when I awake, I am still with thee.
When I awake I am still with thee…these words bring a song to my mind.
I woke up this morning with my mind,
Stayed on Jesus
I woke up this morning with my mind,
Stayed on Jesus
I woke up this morning with my mind
Stayed on Jesus
My mind’s been stayed on Jesus all day!
Can you sing that song today??! :-)
Even as I sleep God is awake…and He’s thinking about me the whole time! God has His mind on us all day, so why can’t we do the same for Him? :-) He’s more than wonderful, more than my mind can conceive. He is more wonderful than my heart can believe. He’s more than amazing, more than marvelous, more than miraculous…He’s the KING and He reigns forevermore! His eyes are on the sparrow and I know He watches over me. Why, He has so many thoughts, ideas, and plans for me!...and all He needs is my cooperation! *smiles* I am awestruck at His faithfulness. It is an amazing thought that His thoughts are always on me.
And, that’s not all, His thoughts are always on you too!
He has a plan to prosper and give you an expected end. He loves with an everlasting love! Have peace in your heart today. Even as you are awake rest in the knowing that God cares for you

Hope & Life
Psalm 90:12 So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom.
Life is short. Just yesterday I was thinking about how life has seemed to pass me by. WOW! While living life, each day seems at a snail pace, but in the rear-view mirror it seems it has raced passed. Oh, yes, I’ve lived a lot…accomplished a lot…lost and gained a lot (and that’s not just in body mass either), but to my estimations, not near enough has been accomplished. There are still dreams yet to be fulfilled, goals still yet to be attained…souls yet to be won. And, it seems it was only yesterday that I was 15 years old. It’s sho’ nuff hard to believe that in a few short years I will be the big 4—0. Unimaginable, really. But, since God views a thousand years as just a day….*grins here*…my age is nothing before the almighty God! Whew, I only thought I was old! In God’s eyes I’m still a child. His child.
So, with that in mind, I have to always remember to keep in mind that life is fleeting and each day truly is a gift. Each day is a gift that is presented from the moment I wake up to the moment I close my eyes to sleep. Due to God-given Free-Will what I do between those moments of time is totally up to me.
It pays to live wisely. I’ve learned some tough lessons by not paying attention to what mattered. The lessons were painful…and I’m still not out of this school yet!...Iwon’t graduate until I hear HIM say well done. So, each day I depend on the LORD more and more.
Live well and live wisely. This is the only way I’ll hear “Well Done”. Each day we are given is a gift, that’s why it’s called ‘the present’. There is a song that comes to mind right now and the lyrics say: teach us to number our days, make the days count…
We need to always be aware that God has given us only a certain number of days…and only He gets to know the time-frame. In light of eternity our days are as the number of fingers on our hands. That’s really not a ‘drop in the bucket’, my friend.
Whatever we gather, build, attain in this life is nothing compared to the eternal weight of glory we one day shall receive. There is no need for us to ‘strut our stuff’, for in light of what God has done, can do, and shall do there is no comparison. We must work to show ourself approved. Live in Faith. Walk in wisdom. Walking humbly before God (and man) and living wisely. The rewards are out of this world!
I wait in HOPE. My HOPE is in GOD. He is Just. He is the Miracle-Worker. He makes impossibilities, possible. He is the I AM. He is ETERNAL.
HOPE: the feeling that what is wanted can be had.
HOPE: the feeling that events will turn out for the best.
HOPE: having expectation.
HOPE: the desire for a certain thing to happen.

Happy Mother's Day
II Corinthians 12:9-10 And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ's sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong.
Motherhood is not just another “must do” on the list of “must do’s” in life, but it is a divine calling. To think of it as a ‘calling’ rather than another thing on the check-off list, makes it much more impressing, and bearable.
I am no poster-child of a great Mom, but I am mothering in spite of my limitations through God’s divine grace. Some days I feel I’m doing well, while other days…eh,…not so much. But…I press on anyway because there is vision, there is a goal.
I totally believe that Motherhood is a sacred role, a role that is meant to be taken seriously and is rewarding, yet I am not blind to the fact that it comes with challenges and fun times too. There are hair-raising and belly-laughing experiences along the way. I believe Motherhood gets your feet on the pavement and your head out of the clouds…or sand, whichever.
In today’s society Motherhood is mostly viewed as a road-block on the path of accomplishments. It’s viewed as something that has to be done, but not necessarily something that is whole-hearted or welcomed. And, it’s not just in the secular world, it is in the church as well. Sad, huh?! Biblically though, Motherhood is very much celebrated and honored. Motherhood is not a road-block to a woman's happiness, but rather it is a stepping stone to greatness.
Bitterness, Hatred, and Discontentment will not lead us into a fulfilled life. But, most times, these are the “hidden sins”that mothers do carry. A Mom would never verbally admit this, no never would she do that, but in her heart…
Parenting is challanging, you can be sure of that, but it is meant to be that way. I joy in the hope of that. I find joy in the knowledge that parenting was never meant to be an easy task. Our scripture promise today lets us to know that HIS GRACE is sufficient in whatever task we perform. We may feel weak at times, but in our weakness we lean into HIM more and then He makes us strong. It is GOD that brings us victory. It is GOD that makes all things possible.
Motherhood presses us into God. Motherhood makes us reach for, take a grip on, and eat of the FRUIT of the Spirit. Galatians 5:22-23 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.
No, Motherhood is not easy, but Easy St. is a dead-end road anyway. Easy St. never leads us where we really desire to go, it has not outlet, it only causes us to have to keep on doing u-turns..and we don’t want to keep doing that! At least I don't...that's frustrating! Rather, Motherhood makes us grow. It puts us on a highway that allows for growth mentally and spiritually. Motherhood leads to a richer, fuller life. Not monatarily speaking, but richer in so much more deeper ways! We are led by HIM and we are walking His divine plan for our life.
Motherhood done gracefully is a portrait of God’s divine strength. We don’t always “get it right”, but we lean into God more when we are at our weakest. God isn’t so much interested in perfection as He is in our pressing onward. Motherhood is the HOTTEST Refiner’s fire that you will ever get the privilege of experiencing, but blessing on top of blessing comes from it.
So are you willing to keep trying…anyway…? Yep, I knew you would be! :-)
I’m so thankful…blessed…”wow-d”…impressed…challenged...grateful…humbled…by the opportunity that God has given me to mother the daughter that He has given. When He placed that little bundle (smaller than a standard-size pillow) in my arms I thought she was a gift sent straight from Heaven and now…I know it. God has used her in so many ways (that she isn’t even aware) to make me more like Him. I can’t thank Him enough for this experience. And, I love her deeply. I am so excited about the things and ways God is working in her life. I’m on a journey and I don’t want the journey to stop!
I hope all of you have a beautiful, love-filled Mother’s Day! Be blessed! And remember...God's GRACE is sufficient.

A True Resting-Place
Psalm 61:4 I will abide in thy tabernacle for ever: I will trust in the covert of thy wings.Selah.
Covert: A shelter or a hiding place; refuge
Shelter: that which covers or defends from injury or annoyance; The state of being covered and protected; protection; security.
A house is a shelter from rain and other inclemencies of the weather; the foliage of a tree is a shelter from the rays of the sun. The wings of the parent bird are the shelter for their young, helpless chicks. God is our shelter always. In times of turmoil and trial God is our greatest defense and He is faithful in performing His duties. He not only can touch us with His wings of love, but the very shadow of Him is big enough and powerful enough to cover us in our deepest distress.
Psalm 91:4 He will cover you with his feathers, and under his wings you will find refuge; his faithfulness will be your shield and rampart.
Rampart: A defensive or protective barrier
Shield: (n.) A broad piece of metal or another suitable material, held by straps or a handle attached on one side, used as a protection against blows; (v.) Protect (someone or something) from a danger, risk, or unpleasant experience.
God is our shield. Now, that does not mean that hard times will not come to us, for we know that they DO come to us. But, the shelter of His everlasting love is always there to keep us from destruction. You may get the breath knocked out of you sometimes, but with God being your refuge you will not be utterly destroyed. You can come out of a bad circumstance victoriously. It really is possible!
Psalm 119:114 You are my refuge and my shield; I have put my hope in your word.
Lord, I would like to be a guest in your tent forever and to take refuge under the protection of your wings.
Psalm 17:8 Keep me as the apple of the eye, hide me under the shadow of thy wings,
Psalm 36:7 How excellent is thy lovingkindness, O God! therefore the children of men put their trust under the shadow of thy wings
Psalm 57:1-2 Be merciful unto me, O God, be merciful unto me: for my soul trusteth in thee: yea, in the shadow of thy wings will I make my refuge, until these calamities be overpast. I will cry unto God most high; unto God that performeth all things for me.

He Delights In The Details~
Psalm 37:23 The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord: and he delighteth in his way.
Life can get complicated. Life can get worrisome. If we allow it, life can get to be such a drag. But, that is NOT the way it was meant to be!! No! God robbed Himself in flesh and came as our Savior to earth so that we would have Life MORE Abundantly. Life is not supposed to be a drag. It is supposed to be good....because GOD is GOOD. But....sometimes the vision can get blurred, everything starts to become chaotic, and this is when we need to steal away.
So, last night I was talking to the Lord specifically about some things. I was so burdened about a particular situation. I found myself saying, “Lord, I know there are big things—more urgent things—in this universe that need your influence. And, I know that out of all the more urgent things going on in the world that need Your attention, this probably is something that could be put on the back-burner (so to speak); but I can’t help it…I still hold to the hope that even in all the big things that are going on in the world, you still care about what concerns me…You can see all the happenings of this world, yet I know you can zero in on this moment…in all the chaos You can still see and hear me…and I need Your help….” And I continued my conversation with the One who holds it all in His hands.
I am sorry if this prayer disturbs anyone. But, I had to share it anyway for the context of today’s blog. You see, after that prayer while I still held on to the hope and belief that God heard me, I still had no promise of a fulfilling answer. But I chose to trust that HE was listening inspite of the not knowing. And, while I may not receive an answer for some time to come, closing my eyes and trusting that God still had taken the time to at least hear me out, I fell off to sleep.
Today’s promise was this [above] scripture. In the New Living Translation it says it like this: The LORD directs the steps of the godly. He delights in every detail of their lives.
How awesome!
Proverbs 16:9 In his heart a man plans his course, but the LORD determines his steps.
Seeking the Master is what it takes for triumphant survival. Even the most powerful of individuals living on this earth must be supported by the Lord, otherwise their strength and courage is of little avail. When the steps of an individual are ordered by the Lord, that individual must walk in the orders that have been set out, so that the Lord may take delight in him or her. God does care about the "minute" and the "gigantic" circumstances of those He has created.
He is a big God! He’s bigger than all my problems, bigger than all my fears. God is bigger than any mountain that I can see, that I seem to imagine, or cannot see. And, even while He is sitting high and overseeing it all, it is no biggy for Him to zero in on me and listen to me as I talk to Him. My pleas are not a buzzing in His ear, He really understands every word. Tears are even a language He understands.
We are not a waste of His time. He delights in every detail of our lives! So keep trusting....

Walking Blindly
Deuteronomy 33:27a ) The eternal God is thy refuge, and underneath are the everlasting arms:
Psalm 71:3 Be my rock of refuge, to which I can always go; give the command to save me, for you are my rock and my fortress.
Isaiah 57:15 For this is what the high and lofty One says--he who lives forever, whose name is holy: "I live in a high and holy place, but also with him who is contrite and lowly in spirit, to revive the spirit of the lowly and to revive the heart of the contrite.
Lyrics of a song come to my mind at this moment.
There is Peace in the name of the Lord,
There is Power in the name of the Lord,
There is Hope in the name of the Lord…
And another:
Leaning, Leaning
Leaning on the everlasting arms…
He revives the spirit of the lowly—the humble in spirit. In our greatest straits and distresses we can take refuge in Him. Underneath us are the everlasting arms of our precious Savior. There is no greater power than God’s power. The almighty power of God protects, sustains, and comforts all who trust, all who take refuge, in Him.
Proverbs 3:5-6 Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.
Trust is so very, very vital for a healthy relationship to thrive and grow. Without trust, the relationship becomes brittle and broken; stale. Without trust there is no real fellowship. Same concept applies in our relationship with God.
It’s comforting to unreservedly know that I can trust Someone with all of my heart. It’s a blessing to know that Someone loves me with an everlasting love. It’s so refreshing to know that Someone cares enough for me that I can take full refuge in Him. Even though He knows absolutely all there is to know about me—the good, bad, beautiful, and the ugly—He loves with an everlasting love.
It’s really best for us not to try to figure out everything about life on our own. When we do that we are “pulling back”, we are not trusting as we ought. This is hard for the human mind to comprehend. It’s not easy. Sometimes it even seems impossible, but we must never assume that we can get through this life by our own whit. Trusting Jesus is all that really matters. A relationship that is in “pulling back” mode is a frustrating relationship. It’s a constant tug-of-war. This kind of relationship is either not going anywhere, or it's going backwards. This kind of relationship is exhausting. Trusting leads to fulfillment, and trusting Jesus from the bottom of our heart leads to true fulfillment.
We must listen for God’s voice in everything we do and everywhere we go. It is God that keeps our life on track, not us. Never assume that you know it all. Instead, RUN TO GOD! Honor Him in everything. In life there will ALWAYS be surprises. I think God gives us surprises just to keep us “in check”. He likes it when we say, “hey, I don’t have a clue…I trust You…You go, God!”.
Isaiah 42:16, And I will bring the blind by a way that they knew not; I will lead them in paths that they have not known: I will make darkness light before them, and crooked things straight. These things will I do unto them, and not forsake them.
I know I can trust God because I’ve tried Him. I know He “has my back”. No matter what it looks like, no matter what it feels like I know that He wants the BEST for me. My future is better than my past. The BEST is yet to come! In the meantime I will dwell in Him. He is my refuge, my portion forever. I will lean on Him…not my own understanding. His strength is everlasting and sure.
Psalm 90:1-2 A prayer of Moses the man of God. Lord, you have been our dwelling place throughout all generations. Before the mountains were born or you brought forth the earth and the world, from everlasting to everlasting you are God.
Psalm 71:3 Be my rock of refuge, to which I can always go; give the command to save me, for you are my rock and my fortress.

Verses For Today
Luke 11:23 He that is not with me is against me:and he that gathereth not with me scattereth.
Romans 8:13-18 For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live. For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God. For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father. The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God: And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together. For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.
Romans 8:31, 38-39 What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?...For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Romans 8:28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.
He who is not with me is against me…God is for us...we need to do the same for Him.
Just some verses I’m thinking on today. Hope you all are having a great weekend.

Our Way-Maker
(NLT) I Corinthians 10:13 The temptations in your life are no different from what others experience. And God is faithful. He will not allow the temptation to be more than you can stand. When you are tempted, he will show you a way out so that you can endure.
I find it extremely comforting to know that the adage “there is nothing new under the sun” is true. Whatever I face in life, there is someone, perhaps generations past, but there is someone who has “been here before”. I may not know them personally, I may never get know them, but God knows them. He was the Way-Maker for them…and He’ll be the same for me. He is no respecter of persons.
God will never let us down, He'll always be there to help us come through our trial(s). He is faithful. His love never fails. His love is an enduring love, and divine. When the trials come He shows us a way to endure. With the GOD of Glory at our side, we are more than conquerors. He never promised that the cross we bear would not get heavy, but He promised His help. We were never meant to bear our cross alone. Of course He is always on the scene of our daily life, but somehow when the fire is the hottest, we feel His presence more. He always shows up, makes His presence known, ‘just in time’, and the victory is handed out for us to claim.
Aren’t you glad about that?!
Hebrews 11:1 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
Faith is the tangible thing that we can hold on to in our spirit that helps us to hope/believe in the things that we can not yet see in the physical. Faith is the foundation of praise. Faith is substantial. One can build their life upon it.

Few Words
Ecclesiastes 5:2 Be not rash with thy mouth, and let not thine heart be hasty to utter any thing before God: for God is in heaven, and thou upon earth: therefore let thy words be few.
I’m sooo-o very thankful that my prayers do not have to be fanciful, eloquent words because (honostly) I just don’t have the brain-power…especially when my heart is heavy. Although I know that while my prayers do need to be persistent, I am very grateful my words do not have to be refined.
I’m thankful to know that I can lay at His feet. And, I’m also very thankful to know God knows my heart and the very groanings of it (which can not be formulated into words). I’m thankful for that! I’m thankful that He understands the interceding of the Spirit mingling with my spirit as I petition Him and seek after Him. I’m glad He has no confusion with that, because I'm confused enough for both of us (if He were apt to be that way, and all)! He understands it all. And, in His own good time, He will answer. The answer may not always be what I want, but He knows best.
It is a faith walk. When we realize that God knows (really knows) what’s best for our life then we are more apt to not be hasty in what we promise Him or petition Him for.

Blessing Giver
Wisdom cries out….Wisdom shouts aloud…Wisdom pleads for our attention.
Proverbs 8:19, 34-35 My gifts are better than gold, even the purest gold, my wages better than sterling silver! Joyful are those who listen to me, watching for me daily at my gates, waiting for me outside my home! For whoever finds me finds life and receives favor from the Lord.
This school year my daughter is taking Biology. Right now she is learning about the Brain: all it’s parts, as well as its Central Nervous System and Peripheral Nervous System. She’s also learning about other functions of the body. Functions like the Circulatory System, Anatomy of the Eye, Anatomy of the Ear, all the Senses of the human body, etc.
It is so amazing how God put all parts together to help our body function at its most perfected peak. And, my goodness, how fast it does work! To think about how fast it works almost makes my head spin.
The brain functions as the coordinating center of sensation and intellectual and nervous activity. Why, the brain is the best electronic device ever made! Who needs to go to Walmart or Best Buy??!! The soft tissue matter in your head is where wisdom is imputed from.
When God speaks..when wisdom is imputed unto us…it is for our over-all well-being. God wants the BEST for us. He reallyand truly does. It is well for us to apply our hearts to wisdom, to sit up and pay attention, to be alert at all times. For if we let it the voice of wisdom will keep us. We need to set our sights to wisdom.
And with all your getting, get understanding. Allow that brain of yours to function at its intended capacity. Want Blessing, Seek Wisdom.
Have a Blessed Day in Jesus today.
