2 Timothy 1:7 For the Spirit God gave us does not make us timid, but gives us power, love and self-discipline.
The Holy Ghost enables us to live life courageously. His Spirit allows for us to have confidence and not be easily frightened.
It gives us the ability to do hard things. It does not make us timid. It enables us to 'DO'. It gives power to come against those encroachments of the mind, body, and spirit that would cause us to believe or think otherwise. His Spirit within whispers "you can do this!". And, when it's all said and done, we find that His power was there with us all along....and yes, we did it!
The Holy Ghost also allows for intense, deep affection for all things God has created. His Spirit causes us to reach for the beautiful, not the superficial beauty, but the real. And in 'being real' we see the true beauty of nature and other human beings. We can be sensitive to the scars and appreciative of the story of courage which they tell.
God's Spirit is so very courageous. It gives strength to those who are weak, causing the weak to say, "I am strong!". It has the ability to pursue what is right despite temptations...and to abandon them when they do come. Because of the Holy Ghost we have control, the ability of self-discipline.
Because of Jesus we can live a life of true abundance. Now go forth and live!! :)
