Hallalujah Anyhow!

Psalm 138:3  In the day when I cried thou answeredst me, and strengthenedst me with strength in my soul.  

A strength that can give boldness and energize us...that's the strength I want!!  There is nothing like the encouragement that our Lord can give.  It's a multiplying strength.  Never dividing.

If you don't like what may be going on in your life, if you are becoming weary with your journey...go to God.  Pray, cast your burden on Him, trust that He's big enough to take care of it, and then go divert your thoughts to happy thoughts.  It helps!  :-)

A good word spoken is a large spot of sunshine on a sad heart.  There is nothing like the Word of our God.  He's the sunshine on a cloudy day!  His love letters are awesome!

I don't want to be unwilling for the whole world to witness my gratitude in/for God.  It's because of Him, and only Him, that I can even wake up each day.  It's because of Him that I have the courage to keep moving when I don't want to rise from my bed.  It's because of Him that I'm not depressed and feeling like nothing will ever be complete and right in my life.  It's because of Him that I never feel desolate.  He gives me Hope.  He keeps me happy and makes me laugh.  It is because of Him that Proverbs 31:25 is fulfilled in my life.

"She is clothed with strength and dignity; she can rejoice at the days to come"

Nobody else does that for me. I can smile at the future because I know He holds it in the palm of His hand.

Yes, I do have blah days, but I rely on His loving-kindness everyday.  I, for one, am abundantly GRATEFUL that His mercy is renewed every day.  It's a promise (from Him) that I get a brand new supply every day, and without it I really don't think I'd be able to function.  I dig into it every day.

For real though.

If God be willing to strengthen us to bear the burdens, help us resist temptations, and gives the ability to perform daily tasks...if God strengthens us to keep holding to His hand by faith, and gives strength to patiently await Him to perform miracles and answers to situations in our lives and those we care deeply for, we are bound to be thankful!!!

God has the ability to answer our prayers almost as soon as they come out of our mouth.  It's even been my experience, a few times in my life, when I haven't necessarily got down and prayed about a matter, just had a thought, a wishful thinking moment, and within days that thought was supplied.

Only God.  Only God can do that!

Psalm 18:6 In my distress I cried upon the Lord, and cried unto my God: he heard my voice out of His temple, and my cry came before him, even into His ears.  

Immediate answers of prayer are to be remembered...but really all answers to prayer should be remembered...with thankfulness. For it's nothing we did.  It was God.  All the glory goes to Him.

Don't fear.  Don't be faint of heart.  Don't excessively worry.  This depletes us of energy and can be a tremendous health hazard.  Besides, it is not the working of Faith in our life.

Instead....Keep trusting.  Keep hoping.  Keep Praying!  These acts of faith are the things that will fill us with courage, keep us from sinking under the weight of troubles and afflictions, and give us what we need to withstand our enem(ies).  It is these things that will strengthen us to perform the will and work that God has given us to do, even if it's just the seemingly menial task of getting up and going to the office or washing the dishes every day.

You may be weak in body, my friend, but you can feel like you're Hercules in the inward part of you.  God can empower you to feel like you can leap over a wall and walk through a troop!! and it's amazing how when you feel good in mind that your body also feels strength too.

It's a faith thing really.  Walk in faith and hope today.  It's a guarantee....will not be able to hold your peace.
