Psalm 4:8 I will both lay me down in peace, and sleep: for thou, Lord, only makest me to dwell in safety.
Whether it be the closing moments to the ending of the day or the entrance of trouble upon your heart, God can be found. Call upon Him. He is near.
God faithfully watches over us. Be assured...He alone is the faithful One to safely keep us. When we commit our way(s) and the well-being of others (whom we care for) into HIS care, we can walk this life in confidence of His protection and grace. God IS a hearer of prayer!
When it comes to sleep...of course, it's always a good thing to have a quiet (aka clean) conscience also as a good bedfellow. (that didn't cost ya nothin', just thought I'd throw that in)
:-) :-)
There is no place where God isn't.
Quiet your mind, Still your heart.
Psalm 46:10 Be still and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.
So take a steady, deep breath and each day you're given keep reaching for the goal.
A recent quote I read goes something like this: "Where the soul is full of peace and joy, outward surroundings and circumstance are of comparatively little account." And, Martin Luther King once said, "Peace is not merely a distant goal that we seek, but a means by which we arrive at the goal."
In those times when you feel left in the dark and feel as if trouble continually surrounds you, you can still have peace in knowing that God will never leave you. Rest. He will enlighten the darkness and in the end you will be victorious. He is a refuge for us!! Be at peace.
Deuteronomy 33:27-29 The eternal God is thy refuge, and underneath are the everlasting arms: and he shall thrust out the enemy from before thee; and shall say, Destroy them. Israel then shall dwell in safety alone: the fountain of Jacob shall be upon a land of corn and wine; also his heavens shall drop down dew. Happy art thou, O Israel: who is like unto thee, O people saved by the LORD, the shield of thy help, and who is the sword of thy excellency! and thine enemies shall be found liars unto thee; and thou shalt tread upon their high places.
Satan's got to go!!
Rejoice!!!
When you have the Peace-Speaker as your Protector there is no need to fear! There is safety in Him. Let your heart be at rest.
God's got ya!...and all your cares too. Peace to you, my friend.
